E90 side mirror move on its own

Hi folks,

Does anyone encounter this problem?

The side mirror of my E90 moves on its own when I start the engine or drive off. sometimes, when I stopped the car to drop passenger and move off again, I notice the side mirror moves on its own....

and no... its both the mirror not the left mirror only....

any ideas?

what kinda movement? the mirror position are memories into key. when my wife drives the car her mirror angle its different from my driving profile. unless you mean the folding in/out of the entire side mirror. there were a few time my side mirror auto fold out the folding course. PML checked and its faulty, they replaced under warranty.

mine is E90...so the mirror does not fold like the 7 series..

the mirror actually tilt downwards all the way... I had it fixed once with PML and the problem was solved but after a few months the mirror start to behave weirdly again.

I am the only one who drive the car so should not be due to changes in driving profile.

sianz...got to fix again with PML and gonna take more than 2 days for them to solve..there goes my ride...

you should complain till PML replaced it. its life and dead when rear view side mirror failed. *LOL2*. do they want to bare that responsibility?

just my suggest to bring a strong case to your CA.

complain complain make them change if its still under warranty. complaint till not worth a cent. wahhaha

hi,

my e93 also faces the same problem, the left mirror either goes all the way down or up.
got the shock of my life when i wanted to change lane.
