E90 FL - Faulty rear lamps

Hi all,

I have a pair of faulty rear lights (fused LEDs) on my 2009 E90 FL that has malfunctioned 3 times in the past 2 years. First time I replaced them within the 1 yr warranty at PML, 2nd time I did the faulty right side at BVO (which is cheaper and faster) and this is the 3rd time.

Just wondering if anyone here faces the same problem and if there is any long term solution? Thanks.

I had the same problem. PML replaced both taillights FOC when my car was about 20 mths old.
The LED cluster circuit board is sealed within the taillight housing. Even if wanna replace the LEDs via DIY will mean having to cut though the housing to free the circuit board from the housing first.

My left rear light malfunctioned twice, first time on the first day of collection and second time after 1 year. Both times replaced at PML under warranty. It took one day each time for PML to do the replacement and I have to book for an appointment 1 to 2 weeks in advance.
