Re: E90 can track maximum speed?
Beng, your car build for driving in the autobahn one lah, extended high speed driving is not supposed to be a problem but some perculiar road condition, traffic condition and off course the speed traps are of concern.
As pg7170 mentioned, between 120 and 200 km/h is slight more than 1 hours differences if you do the 350 stretch non-stop. I've followed some "siao" convoy leader where I have to open up close to the 200 mark and the car goes smoother than it was in the 150~160 range.
Personally, I find the 120 speed pretty nice and easy and really less stressful for driver... and well, you do get sleepy after a while, hence I'll stop for a snack, kopi and face wash. The ultimate goal is the reach your destination safely and the journey enjoyable. Do some minor planning and preparation before you embark and work in some safety/emergency factor if you're able to.
Start by planning the time you need to get there.. and when you need to arrive and work backwards with margins for stoppages. Have the car checked/service and replace any old consumable parts that are about reaching their expected life span (you don't want them to fail on you halfway). Check with pple who frequent such journey for additional tips like what are the good hours (less traffic) and some comprehension of malays an advantage if you need to seek help along the way.
If an experienced "Hia Dee' is able to come along, that would bring you some peace of mind. Enjoy your drive and we wait to hear your report. Also, best wishes to your relative and hope he/she will get well before you arrive.
