Which is a better buy considering a price difference of $7k? Other than engine perfornance, the specifications seem to be pretty much the same.

only 7k now? was 20 just 2.5 years ago. wow!

Coz the Pre-FL 325 most have i-drive as std, the FL-325 now has no i-drive hence the lower premium.

I was quoted the following for optional items (for special indent only):

i-drive +$11k
18" wheels +$3k
10-speaker sound system +$3k

325 any time man....:woowooo:

Cheers....

Re: E90 323i or 325i?

the 325 will entail both a premium and tax, not to mention fuel consumption.

as long as you got 6 cylinders I think the 323 is a very good car.

Re: E90 323i or 325i?

when i test drove a new 323, i found that the move from standstill is a bit..."laggy"? machiam like moving off from 2nd gear. an old 323 also seems to have the same problem.
did not test drive a new 325, but the old one picks up very smoothly from the get go.

I also found 323 sluggish for stop-go conditions which is frequent in city driving. 325 fares better.

However, 325, like 323 also fails miserably in specifications. It is too bare for a premium car. No i-drive, no comfort access, only 16" wheels, and worst only 4 speakers. Kinda disappointed with the current package. Special indent will take 4 months and is too costly. Wish they can spec up the 325 for future batches.

If u mean road tax, they are the same cc... FC is probably the same too... coz the 325 has the 3-stage manifold and different exhaust runner, and of coz different ECU programming.

Not much change in the pricing if U were to add in all the Pre-FL std items.... eg idrive/17" rims etc...

Yes, for a premium car, the current 325 is way too bare... but the engine is sweet if u like NA...

Re: E90 323i or 325i?

I totally agreed with IntegratypeS bro.............but on our local road i supposed it is ok...Happy searching.....(335?)

335 would be an excellent choice ... except for the steep pricing (70k more than Lexus IS250 Luxury Edition) :(

Re: E90 323i or 325i?

$70K more of driving pleasure...not comparing apples w apples dude. if IS250 is in the picture that get yourself the 323i...then again you paying same rd tax + insurance + fuel then why not 325 only 7k more.

Get the car for the way it drives and handles at the price that you want, not for the gadgets. That will be the way I would spec it - bare, but not without 18" wheels however.

Put it this way - would you pay more if it come comes fully speced?

either way, its seems like a good price now to get whether its a 323 or 325.

Due to current economic condition, buyers r price sensitive. Wif lower spec, PML can sell higher volume. E90 is still their bread & butter model.

My E39 520 is also very bare & old school. D reason i bought it is because d way it drive. My 1.5 tonner is also on 16" wheel.

Re: E90 323i or 325i?

Frankly, sometimes when you do the calculations, one may end up finding it more value for money to buy the next range.

For example, if one is especially into features (less of the engine capacity), a higher end 5 series may have more (comfort) features - even after adding all the extras into the 3 series xxxx range especially at today's price! And also if you know when to bargain! There are surprising deals .... if u know who to approach and the right timing!

For Merc, sometimes their E series would be more value for money vs adding bits and pieces into a C series...

Re: E90 323i or 325i?

True, for S$7k more, you will get 28 horse more plus 40nm more (i think so), it is definitely worth it.....after that go for ECU remap, change header, down pipe, ful exhaust system, put in some good plugs and that should be able to give a much better response to your stock 325i........or get a used 335i.....

Cheers
