hey yall,
I currently ride in a Titanium Grey E60 525i and am looking for a kick-ass kit. I have pretty much narrowed down the choice to the M5 kit which in my opinion, is one of the nicer ones out there for the E60. Rieger doesn't look too bad honestly but the I have an issue with the quality, which even on brochure pictures mind you, appears lacking.
Okay, so the questions.
First off, where is a recommended garage to get this done? Of course by that I mean a sweet mix of good service coupled with a great price.
Secondly, running around, I realized that different peeps bring in different set of wheels. So far, I think that the black Breyton Spirit's look the best, but then again, I'm really leaning on black for the rims with a deep dish.
Thirdly, the whole idea of lowering the car. Used to own a lowered E39 dressed in 18 inches and after time, the rears were scrapping the hubs a little even over slight road "un-eveness" which was frankly, a strain to the heart at times.
One thing I seem to notice, it is that the E60 runs a little "stiffer" or "sportier", depending on how you look at it compared to the E39's and many a times I have read that it is primarily because of the run-flats. This also makes me wonder if lowering the vehicle is really all that necessary and at what price point; besides the obvious sacrifice in comfort.
Let me thank the replies in advance.
peace out.
