Re: e60 disc brakes

Peng yew, while I can see u very high over mods, you must set aside budget to see wat u can mod n wat u may wan to mod later. Good things come at a price one so sure abit ex. Also there are so many resellers here who have given u advice previously on mods such as Wilson or Kenntona so u can PM them directly to ask costs. Faster this way. Tats wat I did for my mods

whereas BBK like rotora..brembo...alcon.. front only easily cost u 6-7k....

Re: e60 disc brakes

Common set-up would be 6 pot & 4 pot on E60. Common brands used are Stoptech & Brembos.

Price wise, Stoptech is abt 8.5k & Brembo abt 10.5k. No idea abt Rotora's pricing but will be lower than Stoptech's & doubt Alcon has any for E60. OEM ones is abt 4K.

Prices are base on brand new set excluding labor, hence, base on condition, age of the used product etc, one can work backworks roughly how much it'll cost for an used set.

Re: e60 disc brakes

nola...bbk out for me...my car nt fast so no need so good brakes :) look swee can alr!!

Re: e60 disc brakes

Got plastic Brembo covers...$80 only

Re: e60 disc brakes

if u want cheap upgrade without BBK...

change to higher rating brake fluid... change to stainless steel brakeline... change to a better pad... as well as OEM replacement rotors....

cheaper than BBK but improves ur braking significantly

oi.. u drive so slow no need perf BBK. just go eng soon and buy some replacement rotors and replace.

2k for disc and pads only is crazy!!!

not sure, call me...

Re: e60 disc brakes

Regrets, check out Brembo Max. Should be cheap & better than ori. Call Lintrak & find out the price.

Re: e60 disc brakes

i personally got very bad experience with Brembo Max, it warp after a spirited drive up NS Highway to Ayer Hitam and back... my 0.02 cents

Re: e60 disc brakes

I used it for 6 mths already with a couple of hi speed drive (nothing more than 150km/h) on NSH. So far so good.

Anyway, thanks for ur advice. I check the rotor every now & then.
