E60 boot internal release switch

i dun have this boot release switch on my end 2003 e60,wat about e60 bros here?u guys have it?any ideas on how to fabricate this switch?

I also dun have!! Dam sian, buy E60 & dun have this dun have tat.....sigh....

Anyway, Mike at Sim Wee Chuan have the original parts & he got it retrofitted for me in 20mins.

Go look for him man!!

yeap i find that really silly too...imagine not being able to open the boot from inside the car!!!

yeah,tell me bout it...imagine if its raining and u happen to pick ur wife/kids/parents/friends and they got things to dump in the boot.....u have to get out and open the boot for em...most of em will not know how to open the boot manually..worst still if u stop at the side of the road hoping to do a fast pick up with a long tailback honking at u.....i've been there and its not pleasant.

Bro, you can still press the knob on your car key to open the boot if you are in the car lah.... but of course if you have another switch fix in the car, if its not expensive, it wud be ideal lah..

the boot switch on ur key does not work when ur key is shoved in the ignition hole and the engine running,bro....

yeap yeap i second that...tried countless times already...meaning you have to off the engine and remove the key just to use that function...retarded right?

hey guys just DIYed the boot internal release switch,it works like magic and wif background lighting on the switch(orig bmw switch)......now i dun have to get my ass off the seat anymore......

dont have to off engine, just press the boot release with the key inside...
another way is to unlock all the doors, the boot will be unlocked
