E60 523i Bluetooth

hi, i just got a 4month old 523i, and am wondering about blue tooth intergration? how do i know if it already has this option installed, and if not how do i get it fitted and how much would it cost? i just need it for my cellphone...thanks

On your idrive, under "communication" does it say "bluetooth telephony"?

Otherwise check under "car settings", communications, does it ask you to pair a bluetooth phone?

If not, it's likely the bluetooth TCU is not installed.

You can get it fitted at PML, I think cost is about $2500. You might want to wait till May/June and take advantage of the 20% discount.

Take note that not all bluetooth phones are compatible. Popular ones that do work are:

Motorola Razor V3
Siemens S65
Sony Ericsson K700i, K750i, T630
Very few Nokia phones work...check at:

I think PML usually has a promotion on parts and accessories during the months of May and June. The discounts are around 15 to 20%. So that's a good time to go for retrofits or buy that set of rims you've been eyeing etc.
