E46 Suspension Problem

Hi, I am hoping to hear some advice on the suspension/shocks on my E46 318.

Lately, there seem to be some intermittent squeaking noise coming from the rear suspension. This is not so evident on high speed but on low speed like going up car park ramp or when getting out of car when car is stationery the sound is quite obvious.

So far the shocks still feels fine going over humps, I am wondering if the squeaking noise is just the beginning of my suspension problem ? What is causing this squeaking noise ?

My car is almost 3 years old clocking about 60k, this is the sports edition and I am running on 18” rims. If there is indeed a problem with suspension, can I still claim against my 3rd year warranty ?

My understanding is that the terms for first 2 year warranty and the 3rd year warranty seem to be different (according to PML). Is this correct ? And where can I find the black and white on this ?

Thanks for all your advice.

Re: E46 Suspension Problem

had this problem on my previous stock suspension too...should be the mounting/bushing..just drive it in to pml and ask them to go for a drive...after that if not included in warranty then just go get it done outside

Re: E46 Suspension Problem

somehow i dont think suspensions are warrantable... but you can give it a long shot to see how...

i think it may be your anti-roll bars... need to cooper slip the joints... mine needs that too...

60k for the sport shocks and they are about to give in... you can probably try another 15-20k if you are not an aggressive cornering driver... time to scout around for new shocks...
