E46: back of my car is warm after driving for sometime

Hi,

I notice if I left something at the back of my car (left side), It gets warm after driving for a while.
It is near the side where the exhaust is. Is this normal?

Hi Desmond,

For my case, the entire rear half of my boot is warmed up after a pretty long drive. Seems pretty normal to me.

Thanks for your reply. I had driven many cars and I had only noticed this with my E46.


Anyone out there has felt this??

My whole entire boot is hot. Even the water inside my waterbottle is warm! I tink is normal..
