Let me tell you something, whether you want to know it or not, most BMW who have been or are SC'ed are a close knit group and they sure as hell know if there is a bolt on kit for the 318, Don't you be a dick and call them childish cause for what its worth, IF YOU WERE A MOD HEAD, you would have bought yourself a 6 cyl, but then again there must be something abt the 4cyl that we all don't know.

People would be stupid to pay USD 4K for a 15% gain. For the 6 cyl engines the SC's prolly cost abt USD 5K -USD7K onwards and give a fair bit amt of power.

If we're childish and considerd kiddos then you're the baby bitch here, cause in the end we've done what you're looking to do..)

I have had a 1.9 non-valvetronic before. 15% max-up is about 17 horses. Damn, that's a lot !!! But for US$4K? Might have bought a 2.5 litre M54 engine with that moolah, which yield 192 horses - a 77-horses improvement !!!

Not debating whether there is such a kit, but wonder if the money is well-spent?

i think this is wrong place i came into. i feel like i'm talking to kiddo. it's not funny at all. by talking all the rubbish.

by the way. for those who are interested in SC i will keep you all update.
Turbo charger can increase 30% of the origi HP. the problem why i go want to install turbo is because i need alot of mod in the engine itself. Like, metal gasket, ECU and injector many more.

By using SC can increase 15% is a good result. After all there are 3 stage for SC. USD 4k is first stage only.

Dude people here ARE trying to help you. I believe wilman2772 gave you a link which you could check out if you are really interested in SC for you 318i.

People here are telling you not to do whatever it is you are planning to do (we don't know what exactly it is coz you refuse to put the link up) coz USD4K for 15% gain is quite honestly bullshit. So stop being an ass coz they were honestly trying to help you...until you started calling people here kids...

That's what I said. US$4k to get 20bhp?? That's really expensive.

The blower must be really small and running a pulley that's the size of a steak plate to get 20bhp. Why go through all that trouble just to gain 20bhp when you can achieve that with tuning and a few bolt-ons? And they ALL can be done within a day.

If you think we're kids, please do it and educate us, becos 318 folks have been waiting for a long long time for a supercharger. By supercharger, we don't mean one that gives 20 bhp cos you don't need one to achieve that.

I for one would want to see for myself the first SC'd 318 in S'pore. It'll be the star of the show!

Bro, I am afraid that he can't even make it back south because of a blown piston or maybe worst, a blown engine.

But then again, with only 15% increases, nothing major will happen, it could possibly be a throttle device just to make his EGO feel good.

Buddy, Changing whole engine in Malaysia is legal then?. It goes both ways la, what you getting at. Nobody thinks its impossible... pls post when you got the website and also when you take pics of your sc, and when you install it and what not. I would love to see this.

Its still possible to change a new engine u can opt for m54 2.2 ltr to comply with JPJ and puspakom requirement. BTW i dunt think is legal to put SC in M'SIA either.

Yes is still very risky..... if really kena stop by them , they usually wunt be difficult for european car unless those bling bling car, exhaust loud loud, ah beng with yellow and green hair... if really kenna stop just got to tell them SPECIAl EDITION from GERMANY hehe... Very few in MSIA.... Show them your road tax is valid and so on.... but i have nv kena any yet haha

Legal or not, you should know better.... As far as whether possible or not, I can assure you that everything is possible if you have the dough...

I have seen a turbo charge kit for the 318 but heard from the guys over at kl that the car is having lotz of problems..i have nv seen/heard abt there is a sc kit yet for the 318 and 17 horses (15% gain) for usd 4k abt sing 6440 is stupid...that abt $378 for 1 bhp..which workshop in kl quoted you the sc kit for the 318???

u can still change the engine , last time my dad e39 engine was burnt and bought a half cut and dunp in and went straight to puspakom. They only ask u to verify the model and displacement of the engine since they dunt have any info in their database. u need to get the info from bmw.

U can opt for m54 2.2 ltr like i said..
