i could not understand why he did not 'rebuild' the ///M that is in working condition. it would be a nice project too.
anyway, many forumers have asked this rethorical question and the rethorical answer is he can do whatever he wants with his money.

Actually it was due to the high cost of importing the car and putting it onto Norway roads. The tax and everything else would have amounted to 320k in his thread. For the 318i, he got it for 80k and I estimated for rest of the mods would amount to say for a total of less than 200k?

noted. the car is 'illegal' per se? a valid registered 318 with ///M engine in order to pay low tax.
for comparison, we can get a 1/2 cut 335 or ///M and transform into 320 ya but we got LTA inspection

but there is no logic la. if not why would the government tax high cc car if anyone can chuck in the high cc engine into a low cc registered car ... hehe
