i confirm, E36 ppl not friendly one. Always sabo me, take me to Sandy, end up being something else, go milk tea, cannot find, is myth.

BTW, some manual gearboxes do IN FACT have the handbrake on the gearbox, or the end of the bearbox to be precise, on the output shaft.

Why you drive manual, lorry is it?

ok, for bengz sake....here's some more info, assuming 316i manual (pls check out the website if the specs are different). if unsure, pls bring your ride to a good workshop, pay money let them sort it out for u. although wallet a bit lighter but its less headache than asking around here, cos sekali give u wrong info cos we not experts or pro.

ok, thats just a regular drum brake set up.

if the handbrake isnt working, its the cable is stretched. or the adjustment is way off

i suspect cable prob but the info from him quite limited plus me no pro....best is still have mechanic check it out, jack up the ride or whatever...check it through

it wont be the cables from the drum, it will be the one from the handbrake, they always stretch, one good handbrake turn and they are done!!

PLUS, when was the last time the shoes got changed and/or adjusted at all?

nah, ah bengz asked for handbrake and since he's so enthusiastic abt it so i throw everything give him...kekeke...parts number included plus pics.
anyway we are not car doctors, maybe common cough n cold for our ride we can handle, its thru trial n error that we learn and thank god E36 dun have too much electronics compared to the newer rides. anything more technical, we lack the experience, expertise and equipement to do anything abt it. i wished i had a landed with garage and hydraulics ramps....only in my dreams i guess...haha. if u feel hesitant abt DIY or dun have the time, pls find a good workshop lo....can check out our site sponsors, handbrake prob should be chicken-feet for em.

less gunpowder guys, perhaps beer sesion to chill everyone out? paulaners,erdinger or even tiger?

1st thing to do is to park on a level road, jio a few kakis for kopi....ask them to see if the ride is lopsided. thats the 1st cheapest method i can think of
