E36 fuel consumption HELP

Hi bros/sis
Anyone here know what's wrong with my E36? everything is running quite well, except the fuel consumption really high.. asked around other E36 owners, they all can run up to 450km/full tank. but mine is running for up to 350km/full tank only (318iA) ...arghh...:angry: Dont think tat's because of serbring exhaust and simota CAI lor, coz before installing those, F/C is already damn high :woowooo:

Any comments and advice how/where/howmuch to get this fixed?

well..u can check the following:
1) air-con usage
2) rims size
3) tyre pressure
4) any leaks
5) any heavy stuff in your car and boot

just repaired my exhaust cos of leaking, was wondering what was causing my ride's recent lack of power and high fc until i discovered it and repaired it

3) tyre pressure...no idea, but dun think it'd be big issue
4) leaks...before had oil leaking, but replaced everything already ^^
5) heavy stuff..uhm..dont know lor...probably everything seems heavyyy hahhaaha...

haha go check your fuel lines etc, given tt your FC is pretty bad compared to most other bros, it shouldn't be minor stuff like tyre pressure and all...
those will set you back 50km per tank max...

for the air-con what i meant what what level u use, 1,2,3,4 u know.
as for tyres i overinflate anyway...hehe...i'm used to use 17" bmw m3 rims but switched to ac replicas...FC slightly higher bcos of that but its still 17"
do u feel lack of power? maybe got leak in exhaust...i just encountered it recently, lack of power+high fc...in the end, discovered a hole in my exhaust, had it repaired...fc back to normal.
i'm using a hurricane air-intke with heat shield+ monster capsule+superione. whats your setup bro?

bro sym7081, dun know wat went wrong on ur FC but is serious, my 318iS everyday rev 5,000 - 6,000rpm just to pick up , work in town, with 17' rim, simota CAI, clock last tank on last thursday 535km with 53 litres !!! did not even finish my full tank of 65litres !

argh...tat's why im asking wats wrong with my car hehe....by the way, i fill full tank everytime, but the receipt say only ard 55litres lor...yours up to 65 liters for full tank? so may be i never let it run till the end...haha

bro me is 53litres for 535km, urs is 55litres for 350km... M3 engine? hahahahahaha.. or ur car 3 tonne?

damn...wanna take over your coupe hehe.....^^ yup, gonna bring my car seeing doctor 2moro, see wat's happening ^^ hopefully wont cost too much to get it fixed sure lor, we meet up one day for kopi, I know Fabian and Alvin, owners of E36 coupe...u know them? ^^ i also got a friend driving black 320iA e36, his even worse, full tank can run only 300km hahaaa

ya got some E36 is turbo or even M3 haha.. those 250km full tank is normal haha..
know one coupe guy , lost his name card think is alvin, office @ UBI.

think stock M3 not that high f/c lor...uhm...Alvin office at Toapayoh Fabian is the one driving violet coupe. he had a thread "feeler: selling his coupe" here. by the way, how's ur sale? any taker for ur coupe yet?

Vic, yours is an auto and IScoupe is dring a manual. Cannot compare lah as Auto drink more. however, your FC is still too high. Better send to a "Doctor" fast. Do call me when you guys meet up for kopi ok ?

wow...read some of the posts in this thread...super high FC u got there...my 318iA gets 8.5km/ltr...the manual 318i and the other 316i both doing solid 10 km/ltr...and the 316i is running a huge open cone filter... so it cant get any worse...

have u changed ur plugs lately?....

let us know what went wrong after ur "doctor" sees the car!
