hi folks

I know Singapore does not allow dual citizenship yet.
but other countries do, example Canada and new Zealand.

so my question is
if I got Canada citizenship, will Singapore government find out without me telling them ?

if you want to get your CPF, you need to renounce sg citizenship.
if not, you can just keep the passport and use it to enter and exit sg.
with your CPF here, Im guessing the govt also close one eye.

No, as long as you travel in and out using just Singapore passport......

might come in handy in future.
I reckon Singapore is allowing dual citizenship soon.
an explosion of new citizens from the 500,000 PR is on the cards.
prices of landed property will go to the sky.

Malta (member of euro) is selling passport ie citizenship for $650k euro.
this one better because you can live and work in all euro countries.

btw, not easy to get canada citizenship leh ...
there is a minimum stay period and cannot leave the country, no?

Only you can proclaim you are DUAL citizenship. Currently Singapore DO NOT recognize your status.

Will they find out?
If they want to, they can.
How they know?
Your application (Canada) form come with column asking you for criminal records. Through the police, they know where you going or relocate to.

You wont be surprised Singapore Government send you GST voucher to your Canada address as what my friend receive in his foreign home address.
