Hi all,
Do you get audible creaks coming from your seatbelt in the driver/passenger seat when you belt up? It can be slightly irritating and in many cases, it's due to the seatbelt clasp/head rubbing against the leather seat.
In order to solve this problem, I found it necessary to pad the seatbelt so that the rubbing doesn't cause any noise. The cheapest solution I found, was to use one of those elastic hair/wrist band to wrap around the seatbelt clasp. The cost is a mere S$1.00 per hair-band.
Here are some pics I just took:
Black hairband - ~$1 per pc. Cheap!
If you can find these, even better! Wristbands are more expensive and harder to find in black - they may be a little loose, so find those that are tighter in fit.

Here's what it looks like when I wrap the headband around the seatbelt clasp a couple of rounds. I've highlighted the hairband in green color for illustration purpose.
A wider view of the band in place. As the hair/wrist band goes under the seat, it's hardly noticable as the color blends easily and if you push it lower, it's almost completely out of sight. The noise is completely eliminated and it's super cheap! So if you get those creaks from time to time, do give this option a try, it's completely reversible and doesn't leave any mess.
P.S. It doesn't apply to just BMWs but any cars in general where leather seats are present.
Cheers,
Alvin.
