DINAN SUPERCHARGED M3 & M5 - Must See!

Hey Guys,

I just came back from SF and managed to go down to the Dinan complex just outside SF to take a look. Managed to take some nice pics of their cars there. These guys must be the biggest aftermarket tuner i have seen. They have 8 cars specifically for test drives and R&D for customers. Workshop is huge and clean. Very professional. A must visit for any BMW enthusiast. Pics here are 462bhp E46 M3 and 610 BHP E39 M5. And guess what.. all cars come with full BMW factory warranty = 4 years 50,000 miles. Ill be posting somemore pics in next post. The White M5 here is undergoing R&D and you can imagine what kind of monster it will be if they could pull 610 supercharged out of the old E39. And dont forget...these cars do not sacrifice warranty, everyday drivability as well as reliability. I sat in both at full throttle and around corners and I have to say the thrust&handling was out of this world yet ride and comfort was not compromised at all.

Enjoy!

DINAN CARS pic continued

Continued from my last thread, some more pics.

Here you see their chassis dyno which features that hugh fan thingy to simulate wind speeds of up to 200mph.. awesome for tuning, fueling/ignition purposes. They also have an engine bench dyno which had a race engine attached. By the way i saw alot of yummy race engines for their touring car championships.. Here also a supercharged white e46 M3 and a Z3 M. Took pics of their rims as well, looks nicer in the flesh on the cars. 19 inch forged aluminium.. very lightweight.

Wow very nice pics! Got somemore? It must have been an incredible trip.

I've merged the two threads together, so continue to add more pictures in the same thread.

Cheers!

Ya man it was great.....i went to west coast customs too and they got like crazy 28, 30 inch rims on like hummers and trucks hehe. check out the fitment of the supercharger, intercooler etc on this M3, the workmanship is so good u think it came factory installed.

Re: DINAN SUPERCHARGED M3 & M5 - Must See!

now this is a real cool workshop,

the pic with the SC on the Z, the IC is all the way at the back???.. with the fan infront???.

Re: DINAN SUPERCHARGED M3 & M5 - Must See!

Behind the fan is the radiator
The IC is the smaller piece one installed alittle lower, near that red color round thingy

Re: DINAN SUPERCHARGED M3 & M5 - Must See!

And it's not on Z but M3 as he mentioned

wah, is there space???... im quite surprised... and the sc setup looks weird to me,

Re: DINAN SUPERCHARGED M3 & M5 - Must See!

It's all been figured out so I am sure all should fit fine.

Re: DINAN SUPERCHARGED M3 & M5 - Must See!

The fan thing looks interesting to me, blowing into the IC... i think .. you noe wat that red thingie is by any chance??

Re: DINAN SUPERCHARGED M3 & M5 - Must See!

Iam not sure what that red thing is but looks to me like a stopper or cap to keep it sealed before they fit the piping. In any case, i spoke to dinan and they told me every single dinan part is custom made to their specifications from their R&D except the supercharger blower. It takes them 6mths to 1year to complete R&D on any new BMW from from the brakes, suspension, ecu to SC units.
