Dinan parts in Singapore

Nope, there is no one who officially deals in Dinan in singapore as far as I know. But to order direct from them is pretty straight forward. Dinan makes pretty good stuff for BMWs and in the US they even give a warranty on their stuff!

However, you better be careful what you order and find out whether they will fit as some of the parts are made for left hand drive cars. I ordered some stuff from the US before and had to make some slight modifications to make the parts fit due to the placement of the steering rack.

ERmm... actually it might... cause from my experience, what I had to do was to send them my ECU and from there they will update/change the software. Since most ECUs are on an exchange basis, this might not be so bad.

In the end, my ECU actually came back ok... so although they ECUs are slightly different, they might still work.

More importantly, it is important that you need to tell them your car is a Euro spec model, that way, they can advise you whether their parts will work or not.

Ok, so how do you go about purchasing from them. The website isn't very helpful in that respect.

I'm sourcing for rear Bimbos.

Try this link:
http://www.evosport.com/product/brakes/

They have rear brake kits for the e46 sedan...

No direct reference for the Z4 but I am sure that if you email them or call them to inquire, they will be more than happy to entertain your queries.

Hope this helps.

Usually, the best way to find out about stuff I find is to pick up the phone and call them. I am a person who likes to talk to someone face to face, at least that way, you always have someone to scold later... hahah!

Why are u sourcing the Bimbo BKK from Dinan?
Are they offering any cheaper?

Dinan has a custom made caliper carrier that will allow the E46 rear brakes to be used on the Z4.

Actually to tell you the truth, the only thing you really need is a custom caliper bracket. There is actually no reason why a good shop in singapore can't do it, but so far I have not come across any I really trust.

In fact, I have custom machined caliper brackets used to mount my APs.

The only difference is whether to machine them locally or overseas. Locally usually only can get aluminium or steel brackets, whereas I am using brackets made from magnesium/titanium alloy which I got from the UK. So you tend to get slightly more exotic and weight saving materials overseas.

des, why does your AP need custom fitting? doesnt everything come plug and play from the box?

Yes, it is plug and play, but the mounting brackets for the brakes are specially machined in the UK for my set.
