Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

Dear Bros,

I’m deciding from a Crimson Red with Black interior, Sapphire Black with Lemon and Black with Black.

I seek your recommendation and experience on this colour combination in both long & short run… :juggle:

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

Personal preference and lifestyle will rule your selection. Have kids? Pets? Lots of fetching and dropping off? Dun take light-coloured interior. As for exterior, it is very very personal.

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

black with lemon interior is nice....but pls take note that lemon interior is very very hard to take care and maintain.......did u consider red leather?

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

Como has the same lingo with me... I find that the lemon really stand out from the black interior especially on the doors!

I do agree on the difficulties on the maintenance...

They dun have red leather only Terra which look like "pig liver red"...

I do not see much Red BMW locally... any side effect???

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

i too was considering whether to get one with beige interior, black interior is much easier to maintain though

especially the rear passenger area with the protruding trans tunnel -- very prone to kick marks

but then again, look at the number of cars with light colour interior on our roads -- plenty of them -- somehow people can manage

lemon with black looks refreshing at first glance, but somehow the dual colour tone does not look as good after some time

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

terra red is nice.....not love at first sight....but it is a color u will not get bored.....i have beige interior....kena regret now...i shld have gotton the terra red.....

black with terra red....swee.....lemon is nice but after 3 mths....u regret for sure.....maintaining the beige is already a pain....

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

I really like the dual tone effect, black with terra is nice too...

With all due respect, beige or grey interior is a no no for me... uniqueness is missing... I wanted to customise my ride mah... :yummie:

May look at the terra again to confirm... :)

lemon is a pain to maintain.

really regret getting it now... :screwedu:

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

am quite lazy and would have chosen black interior anytime...if not for decision over-ruled...got the silver on grey in the end...but must agree terra is nice...

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

Terra red is acquired taste stuff. My loan car from PML had terra interior and at first look, I was like Yucks!. By the time I return the car after few days, I was in love with it.

Start to feel my Black on Black is so bloody dull! My next car, I ll go with Terra.

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

having light colour on the interior is pain. A litle mark can b spot easily
y not black wit Crimson Red interior. Nice...

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

it is alright to go for a light colored interior like beige or lemon, but you will have to clean it regularly or you could simply just go for regular interior cleaning etc lke once in a few mths.

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

You've certainly lure me to make up my mine on the Terra interior... Now come to the decision of exterior... Crimson Red or Sapphire Black or Black II ???

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

black II...
(more words)

Hi gadaffi,

Which black will produce the best shine??? :yikess:

Re: Dilemma in choosing the right colour combination for my E90

Hi

My option is that Beige will give the interior a more luxurious "feel" and also it will give a more spacious feeling compared to black. Look at all the brochures usually they will feature a light interior but it also depend on your lifestyle.

If you like terra, then you better 'yours' your 320i and buy the 335i......chop chop, mai tu liao.

Non-Metallic Black like Jet Black will have the best shine but once you coat glare, amazing glaze or similar products, it will not be as wet. I used to have a jet black e46 and I only use Zymol products which will bring out the wettest black look but these products don't last. It will need to be re-wax after about 5 wash.

Black is the way to go :) Good luck

PS - i had beige interior and its not easy to maintain. The portion where you seat will defintely turn darker after awhile. My fren is currently driving a e90 black with lemon and its damn swee but he complains about his interior getting dirty easily even though he has got no kids.
