Differnet 18" tyres sizes on my 318i 2004

Dear friends ,

Can any expert out there advise what should i do ?

Currently using a set of 18" rims but tyres are noisy and are of different sizes;
1. Front 235/35/18
2. Rear 225/40/18
Is there something wrong with the tyres orientation and size? Not sure to change the front to be the same as its increasing the thirst of my 318i 2004 model by more than 10% as compared to the stock rims 16".

swap your front and rear immediately first... someone did a very bad job...

check your rears... 235/35 seems a little narrow for staggered...

also, you can check your driver side body... there is a label for tyre sizes that will fit the 318i E46 body per BMW...

Thanks ... just confirmed the tyres size . Front 235/40/18 and Back 225/45/18. Should I swop first and change to 225/45? Btw , what is the stock size? Anyone and appreciate yr help

Oh my god. Who is the kuku who swapped yr front/rear tyres. How can the front tyre be broader than rear.

Ya its my mistake , i did not check either . Looks like need to swapped but see if i can find a used 225/45/18. Thks for the advice

I believe it should be 225/40/18 all round. I think there is a tyre size calculator in this folder.

Yep, I believe that 225/45/18 should be the right size. It also should be in your manual so you can check there too. Cheers!

Thanks guys ..... i got all the 4 tyres changed yesterday 225/40/18 and now ended up with the existing tyres to let go . I appreciate the gd advice. cheers !

wow, front tyres bigger than rear ? thought this is obviously wrong !
can you please tell us which shop did you go before this fix ? Guess we should all try avoid that shop.
