hi

was shocked to find scratches and dings in my brushed aluminium strip on the driver's door. Traced it to the seat belt metal clasp. When the belt is released, we just let it drop, seems like it hits the strip ocassionally....urghh....

anyone else share the same problem?

yeah its a problem because the seat belt is quite a stretch from the pillar. So when you release it, it goes back a distance. The trick is to slowly release it into its place. Hell its not easy when you are in a rush but so far thats worked for me. I have 2 small dings but thats ok.

She's ur WIFE...

Gary, it is a design flaw.

And do watch out the seatbelt mechanism. One of the 335 owners have it replaced before 20K kms......

Re: dents in brushed aluminium strip

Well, its my wife that is causing the dings :)

Oh yeah, that 335 owner is me. It happened cuz my cousin has not sat in my car before and pulled the belt out too fast and broke the mechanism. No biggie.
