Hi guys, anyone encountered this before?

My car was registered this wed but only can get e car 1 week later... Anyone? Is this common? Or is it cos I bought a low end BMW... Different treatment is it?

I placed deposit 1 week before bidding... Se said too many cars Liao must wait.

at least your car is registered. did you get a cat B or cat E COE?

I booked my car early June....


till now... haven't assigned COE yet. next week bidding.

Normally, the collection of car should not be more than a few days after registration.

Max I have encountered is 2 days after registration.

Bro, I suffered the same fate as you. My car was registered on the 15th but car collection is on the 23rd. The excuse given is due to the overwhelming sales of E90 and F10, they have logistic and space problem to push out the cars.
My friend chided me that my car is depreciating every single day ($$ down the drain) since registered but I did not get to drive the car and I so nice that I did not bang table with PML. Haiz. =(

I will insist in collection on day of registration or thereafter. To collect one week after means the car depreciated by a week, including insurance etc. I will never allow that. If they have logistics problem, then they should line up their delivery to match registratiin in a certain satisfactory manner. No reason for them to benefit and we suffer.

You should bang table and insist that they compensate you ! T6 is right that once it is registered, everyday u don't drive the car is money down the drain. PML is huge. They should not be giving u this excuse.

So far I have bought new cars from 3 different dealers, the last one being PML, and my experience is consistent. My car collection is always not more than one day after registration.

In case of delay, you should be entitled to 2 taxi vouchers per day (to partly compensate for loss of use) plus free grooming package or additional PML vouchers (for goodwill). Of course, a responsible SE should deliver the taxi vouchers to you by hand or courier service up front. This is basic business etiquette.

If the SE don't know how to zuo ren, then write a letter of demand to the SE to ask for compensation for loss of use and depreciation. Of course copy to PML and BMW Asia for explanation on why basic business etiquette was not followed by such a big and established company.

Hi,
Get some free gifts, taxi vouchers for compensation. If not, ask for a loaner. This was what I requested since.....They have no reasons to say no.

I am in the same situation as you, car registered 13th Jul but only can collect 1 week later 20th Jul. Quite pissed off coz I already got the number plate and email from LTA informing me of the registration of the new car. So what did the SE give u? Can let me know ?

I had the similar situation and was told by my se that my car can only be collected 2 weeks later, l was pissed to find out becos he is gtg on leave Wtf, in the end, l got my car few days later after l bang table...what's wrong with them these days...damn...
