Hey guys,

anyone knows who/where can professionally debadge the trunk model number emblem w/o leaving any marks? eg. 318i, 320i...

thanks

Re: debadging

steps :

1. leave the car under the sun for 20 mins. then, use your finger and apply some strength and you can feel the emblem is not that sticky anymore

2. use dental floss to cut from the edge ... slowly and steadily

3. apply quick wax on the debadged surface. wala .... clean and nice !

If you are de-badging a 4-potter remember to change your exos. I saw a de-badged 318/320 the other day.. the flat single-tip exos was a dead giveaway.

Actually my theory is that people who have a 325 and espy a 335 won't de-badge. So all the de-badged 3-series are prolly 4-potters. :)

i debadged my 335 :p

Anyway just to add, you can spray some WD40 and leave it for 5-10 mins...you should be able to debadge very easily with dental floss after that.

actually, the only reason i wana debage is becos i find the trunk a little 'crowded'. the letters are so out of place.. i prefer a plain trunk other than the number plate and BMW emblem. haha

even if you debage, there are many prominent features to distinguish among the rides..
