Dashboard warning on both tail lights

Current ride E46 sedan shows dash warning on both tail lights but have checked that all the tail and license plate lights are working fine.

The warning lights comes on now and then and can be resolved by switching on the night lights or turn indicators, and it will go away.

Any one have this problem and any idea how to solve this problem like modifying the return path wires to ground, etc?

Any one has modified their tail lights to LED and which workshop to do this?

Take a look at your tail lights connectors.....you should see there is some burnt makings......get a workshop to take a look.....BVO will be a good choice.

Thanks wilman2772, found left side pin 2 badly pitted (1/2 pin left) and plastic melted so bad that the ground pin can almost touch the next pin in connector but the right side is clean and perfect. No recall by BMW or PML to check when there is already a TSB issued. This is a common and well known design issue. Any bmws having same problem and will like to do a warranty claim from BMW together?
