just came back from Hong Guan. he recommended me a pair of Danish Acoustic Pristinium speakers , Audiosystem F2-300 amp, some low end hi-lo converter. quoted me just under $2k for the whole job, including installation, wiring, cutting of the door frame, mounting and housing for the tweeters, amplifier and crossover.
anyone have any thoughts/comments about the above setup?
being a noob on ice, i asked about other speakers like JL, Infinity etc, and he mentioned that the Danish Acoustic speakers were better than the above brands. went to sgsoundsystem.com and there was a thread there saying the Danish speakers are affiliated with Lotus.
he also recommended a better hi-lo converter as the cheapo ones will have some hissing sound. and addition of a woofer at a later stage when i felt like it.
anyway, think i'll most probably go back there on saturday if im free to set something up. like the customer service, didnt push sales, backed up his recommendations with good info and very patient with a noob like me haha
