I had the same problems with my new E89. At first i thought the retractable hardtop is the culprit. Top down no creaks. Top up all creaks show up.
I thought seow liao. Need to dismantle roof to tighten the bits in there to solve the prob. Luckily I tried winding down to window slightly to see if the
creaks are still there. Surprisingly, it all went away. So I suspect windows rubber seal problem liao. Search the Zpost and come across a BMW product
call Gummi-Plege. Some sort of Rubber Protection and care for car. So go to PML to buy one spray can.
After application, all creaks and knocks gone liao.. For $14, super worth it investment.

When I send my car in to PML for the creaking sound issue, was told by the CSA that this are known problems. He said that there are 2 ways of getting rid of the creaking sound, one by the Rubber protection spray, the other method is the Transparent Friction Tape. Was told that the Rubber protection spray is only temporary solution, sooner or later the creaking noise will be back especially under Singapore climate. I would rather go for the permanent solution, which is the Friction tape method.Solidgold;510430 said:
