Creaking noise from side door .. Help!

The creaking noise coming from both the Driver and passenger side door is really annoying. Initially I thought it was the door rubber seal, spray some WD40 still no use. I think its probably from the panels, trims or something. Cant really figure out exactly where, but the creaking noise is there especially during low speed and thru uneven road. During high speed cruising no more creaking noise.
Anyone got experience on this and care to share what can be done or where can I get help other then PML?

Mine had similar sounds ... and since under warranty I sent in to PML.
They know of this problem, and will install something like a friction tape (I think).
No more creaking sounds now ...

bro, noise trouble shooting is one of the worst nightmare for any tecnician or owner to identify. try to monitor and identify the source of it by getting some1 to drive ur car while u listen in close. once u r certain what might be causing the noise, it shld be easy to fix.

why dun u wanna bring it to PML? for such noise issues i cant think of any1 better for rectification. as this is covered under goodwill most wun even entertain.

I was thinking if there are any easy fix solution then no need send to PML lo .. cos send to them always need leave car there whole day. Anyway will probably send to PML .. seems like the only option for now. Thanks for the advice

not easy la bro.i did my fair share of dismantling just to isolate the noise, but the results r only 20% positive. most times such noises r deep within and u really need them to dig deep. hope they can rectify this for u soon.

Did you know where is your creaking sound coming from? Now I found out that when the windows are down, creaking sound gone. So the windows must be the culprit.

i had the same problem on the E60 just 2 months in....sent to PML and they put on some friction tape. Seems the rubber seal is rubbing against the body....they put tape on all 4 doors and now no more sound.....go back to PML, they know what to do

I got the "Friction tape" installed by PML when i complained to them about the creaking sound and the noise disappeared.

But after PML installed the Principle of Joy Alpine sound system package, there is irritating creaking sound from the right front pillar. Sent to PML and it disappeared, now it is appearing again... The creaking sound is driving me Nuts!!! Dont want to send in the car and get hold up in PML for days again...

Any advice for workshop who is willing and experience in such problem?

See attached for the photo, but it is not very clear because we are looking at Black Friction Tape on Black plastic. U can see from the photo, there is a clear line running across the black plastic, that's the edge of the friction tape. The texture of the friction tape is smooth.

Anyway, the creaking sound on my right pillar is gone again after i wind down and up my window. Hope that is the root cause.

if its some kind of squeaking sound, like 2 plastic/rubberise itme rub together..
i m sure its the door seal rubbing onto the door when closed. I had posted this thread in Nov/09

, and after a visit to PML, an assigned technician hop into my car, drive out and within 1min, he concluded that my car need friction tape! just like all other members' advise here (made an apptm in morn 1030am, car was ready by 3pm) and sound totally gone.
squeaking sound obvious only at slow speed especially over uneven surface, or roll over humps.
if yr sound is not like these symptoms, then it could be alot of things, like suspension joints, or could be some loose parts when mod not done properly...

There are 2 types of creaking noises:

1. from the window frame which the friction tape will solve this problem
2 from the plunger (inside the door) of door knob (that black round pin that pushes up when we unlock the door). which they have to use some insulation tape to prevent that internal (inside the door) mechanical part to rock at low speed
