Coolant Level Indicator Warning

Good day all,

as per topic, the warning light surfaced the second time in two weeks.

The first appearance was on the day i collected the car lol (i know right, suay), went to the "warranty" workshop for diagnosis. Was told that there was no leak, so the guy topped-up water and ask me to monitor again. about two-three weeks ago.

Today it appeared again, and i went to a workshop that i've been regularly, not the "warranty" workshop, topped up water again as i was in a rush for school.

Am thinking:
1) should i flush the coolant and replace it thoroughly again with BMW coolant (is it 12 liters)?

2) bring the car to the "warranty" workshop and let them diagnose? which i think i will be told the reason "BMW like that one la" as per previous experience.

thanks to all who take the time and effort to read this thread. constructive help and suggestions would be appreciated sincerely.

If you have to top it up from 2 shops then it's likely leaking somewhere. Unless it's just a bit of a top up then probably sensor issue.

Re: Coolant Level Indicator Warning

hey bro, thanks for reply. forgot to add in that there wasn't any leaks after checking.

Could it be some parts "drinking" the coolant?

Re: Coolant Level Indicator Warning

Hi

I only top up the water 4 months later after I collected my car and the top up was like around 800ml. It was myself that did a normal check, not warning show or whatever so.

Just my guess, mostly are the radiator hoses broke which cost it to leak. Best is to drive your car to your regular workshop to have it check.

Re: Coolant Level Indicator Warning

i had experience on the coolant spare tank leak, hence you might want to check on that too.

Re: Coolant Level Indicator Warning

Better hope that is not the case .....

Physically - did you check if the coolant level is ok ?
