Coolant Leak..

Re: Coolant Leak..

Noticed that my car also has coolant level dropping but cannot see any water puddle. What's considered as normal amount to top up?

If it's not leaking, dun think you even need to top up.

Re: Coolant Leak..

My ride E90 325i, replaced my leaked radiator, problem surfaced 3 months later, small leak, workshop suggest to replace another new piece as warranty only cover 1 month for replacement part. tried this trick myself and works, it is to flush out the air bubbles in the system, very easy to follow.
Prepare 1 - 2 botthle of BMW coolant, you could purchase from Engsoon.
1. Open the bonnet and release the overflow tank cap (black colour container that has coolant level stick), the engine been
let cool for 2 hours.
2. Go into the car, insert the key and press once
3. Switch on the cabin fan(blower to low fan position), lower down all the window.
4. Set the temperature to highest level(means heater position on)
5. Press the accelerator for slightly more than 10 seconds and release, you will notice that the electric water pump is
now circulating the coolant in the system, notice from the reservoir tank spray of liquid from inner side of the container near the neck).
6. This coolant air bubbles flush cycle is 12 minutes.
7. Top up the coolant in between.

NOTE, this is for BMW325i E90 N52 engine, I supposed it is similar for remaining model of E90.
