Changed 2 pieces for the front today to CSC 5P. 235/35/19 extra load

The tyre compound feels soft-ish like PS2 but a little harder, not as hard as Goodyear Asym F1 though. Tyre is also rounder on the side walls, inflated to 230kpa or about 34psi. Tyre is also a little broader than the outgoing Bridgestone GR90 which was passed onto a hiadee, but not as wide as some Jap tyres like Yokohama Advan Sport.

Took it for a good drive tonight to get a feel on the wet roads......
....
Regret....regret.....:sleepy:. So regretful that I have to stop typing....

(to be continued in next post).....

(continue from previous post)

haigh...regret.

Regret for not getting this tyre earlier :lol2:

Damn farking good tyre this is:woowooo: No wonder it is OEM for AMG cars.8)
Eventhough my rears are different tyres, can feel the acceleration is quicker on 1st and 2nd gears. Braking is also quicker. Hard cornering was sure footed. Steering is very sharp. Fairly quiet too. Definitely better than GR90, GY ASYM F1 and PS2.

How the hell did continental make this rubber ! Hiadees....Mai Tu Liao.

CSC 5P price is within GY ASYM F1 (value for money) or PS2 (expensive) ?

i think it is the latter...

Re: Continental CSC 5P

more feedback from chao ah beng.

CSCP 5P sidewall is softer. So need higher tyre pressure, but at 240kpa or about 35psi(all round), tyre still feels nice and comfy.

The best thing is braking distance is greatly reduced.

On my E92. Drove up to genting over the weekend. in the dry and wet, straight n curve, the best tyre I ve used. Seriously these CSC 5P is a good piece of rubber. Its quiet, comfortable and the grip is fantastic. I think the M cars should start using this in place of the PS2.

Re: Continental CSC 5P

ABD, in your first post you compared CSC5P to GR90.
If its Bridgestone GR90, isn't it a comfort tyre?
Or it is another brand you referring to?

correct. I was using GR90, for 3 months, it is suppose to be a comfort peformance tyre. Well what is good is that it is quiet, but I cannot handle the power in my 335. it zig zags when I floor the throttle. It understeers my car. The rubber is also narrow so a 8.5J rim stretches a 235 tyre like prata giving stiff sidewalls with little flexibility to absorb uneveness on the road. It also made the ride harsh and at one stage I thought my BMW Performance Suspension has worn out but it was not.

With the CSC 5P, the tyre width is optimum. The rounder sidewalls give some flexes so the ride is not harsh, even at 235-240kpa on a 19 inch tyre. When I launch my car, I no longer get zig zags but it goes in a straight line. On the NSH I tested taking my hands off the steering wheel at 200kmh on a new and smooth stretch of road>>> the car is straight and planted. The steering does not shake at all. On the GR90, I had to hold on like PCC.

Re: Continental CSC 5P

ok i get i now.
regarding your pcc for the steering wheel, could it be that the shop which installed your GR90 did not do a proper balancing job
