Concourse de Elegance

OK there are quite at few suggestions as to the new events etc. We have now something like 4800 members and all (or most) of our cars are in great condition stock, moded or otherwise.

From my experience this is a great time to do a Concourse De Elegance for our members (and others??)

There can be many catogeries esp when we have 4800 members to tap on.

How???

sounds really cool but getting 4000+ members to turn up will be quite difficult and maybe not all 4800 members drive i think

Of the 4000+ members that we have, we have only about 100 active members. Just look at the poor/bad response in our D&D last year end.

A Concours d'Elegance (con-coor del-eh-gance) (from French meaning a competition of elegance) is a competition between automobile owners to be judged on the appearance of their automobiles. These are commonly held at auto shows or after racing competition. Notable Concours d'Elegances include Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and Scarsdale Concours d'Elegance. The vehicles showcased at the Concours are often either prestigious gems, such as a prewar Rolls-Royce, or an obscurity, such as a Toyota 2000GT. Hot rods and customs are very seldom seen.

haiz.. initially I think we are to gather up the members with some cleaning and polishing tools to help make some hotel's concourse more elegant... wah lau.

So what the idea frightens you guys izzz zzzit............. no worries what SFC will gadly give discounts considering the amount of cars we have in the active forum....... but one thing I can say for sure this does not beat the great "I did the polishing myself till 3 am in the morning............................." feeling ..... ha ha ha
