Clicking sound problem

Hi guys, anyone face this problem of constant clicking sound when idling? Sometimes the clicking sound continues when I drive. I can only hear from inside. When I step outside I can't hear anything from the engine. Any bros here can advise what likely would be the problem? Thank you!!

Such descriptions of sound or noise like you have done is very vague and few will be able to help you.

If you can include a video recording of the occasion it would help a lot.

Hi bros, thanks for replying. I'm driving a 2010 730LI F02. Tried recording but can't capture the sound. It's like a clock clicking every 2-3 seconds. Very faint sounds. Sometimes have sometimes don't have. I check online and they say might have something to do with oil. Exactly what's e problem I can't really point out. Tried to bring to workshop but they say no sound but when I take back start to have the clicking sound again. Sigh

hi all,

i have problem with my f02 740 year 09 model. just last week encountered my gear change from D mode to N mode by itself while i drive. finally the car broke down and error code occurred. workshop did a diagnostic check and had changes 2 vanos sensor. i just took my car yesterday and today while going up slope, the gear shifted to N mode again while am driving.

any one has encountered this before as workshop keep saying theres no error when they test it. hope to get some advice. thank you

Hi guys, performance mechanic tells me it's kinda of a thermostat problem? Whereby the air con is mixing hot and cold air to achieve the temp I want. Solution is to turn down the temp to 18-20 degree and it will go away. Somehow it works and the clicking sound disappears
