Childcare centre setup

Hi, would like to know if any bros/sis in the forum are involved in operating childcare centres? Looking to venture into this arena and currently doing the initial feasibility studies.

If you have experience in this arena and would care to share your experience, do drop me a pm. Or if you are interested in participating, let me know too. I already have the location in mind and have started initial discussions with another partner.

Cheers,
Bryan

I am quite sure my motivation for this venture is driven by material returns and not potential hot mamas that may show up :D

btw, is your friend planning to buy into a franchise or setting up his/her own franchise?

Yes, u are driven by material returns + can see alot of hot mama's.... 1 stone kill 2 chicken!

My friend is planning to go in as franchisee from 1 of the childcare centre.

Re: Childcare centre setup

what my friend did was she took a franchise when she first started to bank-in on the brand name. few years later, she opened a 2nd one when her school needed to expand, but not under the franchise name..
so now she has 2, one under franchise, one under her own brand name. it was easier than just setting up with her own name initially.

Talk about conflict of interest and competition. lol. I guess everything is done hush hush?

Re: Childcare centre setup

Franchise can help you get the first few customers, but after that it all depends on word of mouth and how good your teachers/staff are. If they are crap, word of mouth spreads fast.

that's a good approach to adopt and one that I am seriously considering, given how 'brand conscious' people are nowadays. know of any franchises to recommend or to 'avoid'?

as long as the accounts don't get mixed up and you do not have the same principal running both centres, I think there is a good chance it will not be 'exposed'
