Charity Storeroom Clearance Sale!

Hi all!!!!

It’s been a while since I stepped into the forum much less go for meetups. How is everybody? Hope everything is ok and everybody is still very much infected with the mod bug!!!

Cut to the chase….. was clearing out my storeroom yesterday and discovered that I still have some stuff from the good old days of BMWSG. Now instead of selling the stuff which in all honesty, I do not know how much it’s worth…, I thought I would do a charity giveaway !

Giveaway to you guys but charity to Singapore RedCross in their bid to help Japan. Here’s how it works. I will put up the items I have here and you guys see if you want/need it. I will see if I can put up pics and description of item.

If you want it, then sms me at 92747233 to inform me when you coming to collect it. As for payment, what you will do is put the money in an envelope, seal it and write your nick down on the front of the envelope together with the amount.

How much to pay? It’s up to you …really! Money collected will be given entirely to the charity mentioned. I am not taking a single cent. For transparency purpose, I will put up the nick of the donor and amount up on this post and subsequently, the scan of the receipt from Red Cross Singapore. Dun worry, just give whatever you feel right. It will be appreciated. (Anyway, if you purposely lowball until jialat jialat, your nick will be up for all to see !!! Ha ha ha!!!)

For those who want to make separate donations, can also approach me. I will hand over everything from the sales and any additional donation to Red Cross on behalf of BMWSG. For those who are curious, I’m a medical officer with Detachment 7 of the Adult Volunteer section of Singapore Red Cross.

So here goes..

1) 02 x BBS CH rims 19” width 8.5 offset 35 , taken from E46 coupe

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

2) Cam cover for E46

4) TD04 15G turbo (taken from a Volvo) - good for low pressure application ; gives very short lag. A very good exhaust mod for the 320s and 520s. I see some evil grin...

5) Superchips - Rechipping for E36's . ( Are there any still around even???)

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

6) A pair of 5mm spacers taken from E46 coupe . Good if you want to broaden your rear wheel stance

Re: Charity Storeroom Clearance Sale!

And yes... another thing...

Just a gentle reminder that this is a small time but still nonetheless a charitable effort I'm doing on behalf of BMWSG. I am not taking a cent from it and thus not too interested in how much is offered. But for the sake of ethics, please...

- donate at least slightly less than what is acceptable as fair value (of course if you want to give more, its fine) . please do not take say an item of say having a used value of $30 and give $2 dollars for it.... if you really need it and have no money at all (which is strange..) then just tell me. We will gladly give it to you for free. That is more honorable than being cheap... which we are not.
- Only take things which you know you NEED and will USE. This is not a free-for-all-take-anything kind of exercise. If not, then leave it for others or just make a small donation... it will still be appreciated.

Again, this is just a kind reminder . Please dun take it the wrong way. I'm not that bitter :)
Just that I had bad experiences before..which for the fun of it, I will tell you guys here to lighten up your weekend and have a good laugh.... Pls note that while no names will be mentioned, this story may not necessarily come from this car forum. I'm also member of other car forums....

Story 1:

Wanted to sell a spare set of rims. A forummer (someone i actually knew for a while already) contacted me saying that he liked it very much. Bargain with me until jialat jialat.... say he no money la... work and business not doing well la.... (but he actually drive nice car... well...) and all that s#@t la..... I relented and sold it for a song. I mean if I'm not using it ..... I rather see it being used by another person right?

The fella used it for a year or so and then i saw him post up the same set of rims for sale... albeit in a worse condition than when i passed it to him.... but surprise surprise.... for a price higher than what he paid me! What's worse is that another friend who saw the post and keen on the rims actually called him and was told that he bought the rims originally from the dealer and paid a much higher price for it. Whatta heck?!?!?

Story 2:

I demodded my car and have some parts left over. I noticed a strut bar that is still in good condition but i remembered that it was GIVEN to me by another forummer . So I told the guy who was interested in the left over parts that the bar is not for sale but I will give it to him since he is getting the other stuff. Fella used that bar as a bargaining chip and say that since he is getting everything, give him cheaper price. I repeated the fact that the bar is NOT for sale but some people dun understand you see. So what to do... give him a bit of discount and of course the bar for free... only to discover that he secretly go and sell it to another person. Whatta S$#T !!!!!

Story 3

If you guys remember I demodded my dearest Velasquez 3ci about a year plus back and I had an open demod exercise where I put her in a workshop, post up the prices of the parts and whoever needs it just go over, buy and install. Unfortunately, there was a point in time when it got so unruly that ...

-a few people just come see the car, try to grab what they can dismantle without even telling the workshop owner or asking permission.
- I specified that i need some items to be swapped but after taking the new stuff and installing into their ride, they dont bother to remember to give the swap item..
-some even bargain with the workshop owner not over installation charges but over the prices of the items they are viewing!
- a few people of these people I heard are not even from the forum but friend of a friend of a forummer or something like that...

In the end, it looked like some mass gang-rape like that... Jialat!

Funny how behind the mask of anonymity, the cyberworld can bring out the worst in people!

Well that's life...... So guys... help me to clear the stuff ya!!!! Thanks and have a good weekend!

P.S. the cheque suggestion is very good. I already thought of it but question is what happens if the payment does not get through? Do I pay the promised amount to Red Cross if the cheque bounce and the fella aeroplane? Let's not forget that this is essentially still a sale on my part. Only diff is proceeds go to charity. Refer to story no 3 above to understand that the person who comes to my doorstep to claim the items may not be even be a recognisable member of the forum. Then how??

No worries la...
- I foresee that most if not all will pay a sum less than market rate
- so even if i back out and run with the money, where is the loss?
- only I will lose face right? But lets not forget , as compared to an outright normal sale , i
have already lost.
-besides , most of the guys here know me la.... where to run...??? hahaha!!!

Cheers guys and have a good weekend. Those who have reserved, i will contact you shortly for the collection of the stuff.

Please take note that the 5mm spacer is still available. Taken by Kaboley but realised that it is only suitable for wheels that use hub rings. So take note to those who may still be interested.....
