Changing breaklights

Dear all,

I just had my breaklights changed. Now, OBC indicator flash "faulty breaklights". There is a glaring Exclamation on my screen. Do I have to go to PML for reset everytime I change something myself? How to get it remedied? Quite a pain.

Thanks all for sharing.

Bro did U get the bulbs from outside shops to replace your blown bulbs? My dad's merc also have this prob, so what C&C did was to replace bulbs that is OEM to his car and the alert disappeared. The bulb monitoring system in our cars monitors wattage or voltage consumption or something like that, aftermarket bulbs have different values that why cause the OBC to indicate faulty Brakelights. Either U go PML to get the bulbs changed or find a place that knows what bulbs to use like J4C or BVO. :)

Re: Changing breaklights

Its a common problem if your new tail lights are after market ones..
Installation problem.

BVO shld be able to rectify...

If car is still under warranty, i think better not go to PML or they'll talk cock as usual and say that your warranty voided because u installed some "other part".

Re: Changing breaklights

if u hv some electrical knowledge
a few resistors may help! hahaha........

Re: Changing breaklights

if under warranty, just go back to PML, they will replace your bulb for free leh....

so i guess your car no more warranty? just go to any shop outside.. they will be able to fix it for you
