Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

Last night I was at Bugis and nearly absent-mindedly exited through the Middle Road exit, which must have been designed by someone who drives a tractor.

OK, this one is pretty famous. But I hope this thread will draw everyone's attention to other carparks or carpark entrances that are best avoided if you have a BMW with lowered suspension, eg a 335. Please regard this as a public service announcement....

Sometime soon I have to visit the hotel at Changi Village. I seem to remember that it has a nasty dip at the entrance to the carpark. True?

Please contribute!

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

The hotel at CV is okay. Drove through it on my lowered E46 with low front bumper... Not a scratch:)

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

yea, that's fine... I think we have like at 2 threads or 3 on the carparks to avoid for lowered cars!... hahaha..

but usually, you'll scrape towards the centre of the car, don't really have to worry much. If ever , IF ever you get stuck from the start meaning front lip already hitting the hump, full lock to either left or right, go slow ( not dead slow la) and keep in that till maybe 1/4 or slight more of the front car passes then full lock to the other side, should help but you'll still kenna la, just less.. :)

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

yeah... many many threads done on this topic before.

Sam, what you doing at CV hotel? Looking for shims ah?

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

I crushed my first car's bumper pretty badly some 7yrs ago...
Great design indeed :)

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

Taka's carpark is a killer also...Sg's carpark designs not very lowered car friendly

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

avoid Regent Hotel...

and the humps in Suntec city exit at B1... stupid

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

Taka ok what? Most carparks you just have to be careful and you'd be fine... thats all.

Where?

Is the Taka carpark that bad? Which part?

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

sorry.... i meant Sheraton... the exit

Regent is something else... hahaha

i hate those carpark ruuber humps... some are just plain sharp/steep... stupid!

Well, the famous Middle road exit will get you into trouble no matter how careful you are. I'm really talking about those. There are others [like Anchor Point] where you will be ok but ONLY if you enter and exit absolutely dead slow.

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

tried Middle road before, did touch abit...

Anchor Point not too sure, hmmm...

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

If u ever go to West Mall... drive slow... the damn hump or what's left of it, kills ur undercarriage!

the bugis middle rd exit...super angle..

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

Super angle... but i stil managed to go thru it without scratching the front splitter, just go damn slow and forget the car behind your persistantly honking! :)

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

new to add to list, Vivocity via the cargo entrance (cos it basically leads into the same carpark)

no matter what i try, i scrape the bloody big hump at the end of the down-ramp.....
and my car clears bugis junction hotel carpark entrance too... :S

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

Junction 8 is like Hotel California.

You can check in anytime, but you can never leave........ without scraping your undercarriage.

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

Toto, u better watch out coz you hv expensive CF lip...

Re: Carparks to avoid with Sports Suspension

Normally I'll keep a look-out for scratches on the hump no matter if they're big or small. If I see them, I'll be extra super careful and go over them very slowly.
