macnoodle,

just listen to the 6-pot engine! :inlove:

however, if fuel consumption is important to you, do take a look at the 318i. The sports edition is pretty well spec-ed. All the mods already done!

318i = S$132k
320i = S$153k

was at PML last weekend to get some spare parts. think the 320s left with about 5 units and alpine white is one of them left... :inlove:

PML COE rebate set at $26k so based on current COE weakness, you will get back about $3-4k cash back for mod purposes.......keke :laughlik:

wow... with $3-4k i can do the following.

Either
a) change to AC Schnitzer exhaust (S$2.8k)
b) change wing mirrors to ACS (S$2.5k)
c) change to ACS type II 18" with a little top up. (>S$1k each) rims only lah. rubber must buy.

and got M body kit some more... ho ho ho... :dance:

then again, after 2006, i will need to go to East Coast beach and watch the sun set and wonder why i got the E46 instead of waiting for the E90.

Make the switch to the E90 in 2007/8 lah! All the buggy issues would have been resolved by then.

Being the first batch of cars also have their own problems...

I agreed totally with you........try not to touch BMW first batch or to be safe the first year the model is in production...........sure needs to pay a few visits to aftersales services... :shoot:

Cheers!

Isn't is a pity that after paying so much for a premium marque such as this. there's always bugs in their new models? Don't see or hear of such problems in other cars especially Japanese cars.

rodders,

BMW are just more high tech, not that their QA is any poorer than the Japs. Also, Japanese models all have their JDM introduction usually 6-12 months prior, so many of the manufacturing kinks would have been ironed out.

Having said that, I would still not get the first year production of a BMW :) :) :)
