Car Lock Question

HI there,

Is there anyway to unlock the car from within after locking
the car with remote.

Scenario: Someone fell alseep at back of car. You park, walk away
& lock the car with remote without knowing that someone is
still in the car. How can the person unlock & get out.

The reason I'm asking was a friend's kid was left in her car.
The couple when up condo forgetting kid was still there.
Finally heard commotion from carpark as the kid was blasting
the car horn to get attention:lol:

Re: Car Lock Question

just press the unlock switch at the dash or pull the door handle twice. once to unlock the 2nd time to open door. or am i missing something?

dun think this will work... then hammer is needed... the joke running around for bimmer owners..

Re: Car Lock Question

the reason why there is no way to unlock from within in such a scenario is becos the car is meant for someone with iq of 1 or higher.

Re: Car Lock Question

that would really depend on the age of the kid yeah? surely if he/she is capable of honking to gain attention, he/she would definitely deserve an IQ of > 1.

I would be questioning the IQ of the driver then. How is it ur not aware you have something, or in this case a child at the back of the car?

I think Zag's suggestion is good...use the hammer on the driver instead...then he/she will remember something or someone behind the car...:screwedu:

Re: Car Lock Question

there is a hazard sign in the trunk. perfect as a tool to smash through the windows.

Just when out to try it.
Strange leh. I locked myself in using the remote.
Pull the door handle twice as usual. Can't open door
Push unlock switch, also can't unlock door.
Am I missing something ?

I think I need to use my S&W tool on my avatar to get out:thumbsup:

From what I heard, the husband dropped the wife at the foyer,
the wife thinking that the husband would bring the kid up.
The husband proceed to carpark, see no "head" behind,
when up, didn't know kid sleeping(lying down)
thought the wife brought the kid up, both blurr:argue:
