Where is the infrastructure to support the increase in population in particular area?

By 2016, there will be 800 home added to my estate but there is only 1 MRT station + current road system to support the increase population. Heng, i got bicycle. Can cycle to Orchard Rd.

more population, higher demand. be it services, housing, medical, taxes. they say it will boost our growth and economy. garmen always win.

Re: can it get any worse for PRs ?

Why after 3 years? Why not 5 years? 10 years? Where is the middle ground? This policy though starting to feel like a deterrant to profiteering PRs who never really want to become a singaporean, never really solve root of the problem - i.e. housing bubble. It is just delaying time, pushing out bubble by forward 3 years, testing the patience/loyalty of these PRs and still allow govt to squeeze their PR labour to max to glorify the GDPs, GNPs etc.

Why not nip the problem at the bud? Let's say, impose a higher tax stamp duty for PRs who buy/sell resale flats. Don't want to convert to Sgporean? OK, pay more tax. Still want to buy or not and freeride to make that arbitrage? I'm sure half of the so-called PRs who have first intention to buy a resale flat will fall out. Bubble will be controlled and sporeans will not be made to pay exhorbitant prices for resale flats. This is just a very real option that govt can explore because it is fair and transparent.

I will repeat again that this policy is a half-hearted action to please both sides of the fence. The govt still wants the cake and eat it. Of course it is better than nothing for those Sporeans who were seriously disadvantaged by the PRs who jacked up resale prices. But I doubt the impact is significant enough to dent PRs' interest.
