Hi all,

Just got my new dose of medicine today. Hope I will feel some butt power.

Technik Engineering Camshafts :

Applicable for all M54 and M52TU blocks.

Alignment markings are shaved off..hmmm...going to be a pretty tough job to align it.

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

No, the torque will be gained on low, mid and high.

..and it also depends on which application profile of cams you using. I believe for most general applications, high end torque is the sole objective.

Markings or keyways which can easily be 5 degrees off are only for econo production slop or to set closer starting points. Working actual phase via lobe centerlines only takes an extra 5 minutes if you have a degree wheel and two dial indicators. All are cheap.

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

Yes, luckily my dear mechanic has the tools and knows what he is doing.... couple of shots just to add excitement to this thread.

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

Quite a tedious job as all those cams brackets tighten by torque specific nuts are needed to be removed. Look like operation on the surgical bed. Having some difficulties in the alignment process...

Check out those TANK CHAINS for the double vanos man! Sure beats the conventional rubber belts.

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

..............on the side note, check out who I saw today trying to add a little "something" to his ride!

SPYSHOT! BUSTED!!!

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

wah...monster mod... are you planning to dyno your ride to see the % gains?

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

wah nice pics man Des. I guess I need to buy you navy blue overalls for you when you work with Ah Wee

Bro, your spec for your camshaft not for "normal" engine one leh hehe....

Usually the intake should be higher than the exhaust side. But i know what application this is for la... power !!! those in the states claim to have good gains :)

Not many people will "understand" when I show them the profile of 248/256. You saw through the lines.... I had to do this to compensate for my lousy sepang lines.

Re: Camshaft M54 Engines

well, didn't know that you would want to post the dyno, that's why i asked for percentage gains only... hehe, but the graph would be good
