Re: buying ps3.. any tips?

I went to game shop in indo they got this like thumbdrive with hack in it.. Can play downloaded games frm torrent.. Somemore they give me 50 games free.. Including gt5..

But once I choose this path forever my ps3 cannot connect to internet.. I think better not..

So ps3 is any region dosent matter right? Buy the gt5 also any region?

Sorry for noob question the last time I play games was when ps2 just came out..

Re: buying ps3.. any tips?

Im not expert but from what I know got 160GB and 320GB. Black and white colour. If you get the GT 5 Bundle PS3, the PS 3 is 160GB and is Titanium Blue in Colour.

No mods from what I know, can surf net using wifi, can watch blu ray movies, etc. U need to connect to internet to download firmware updates for the PS 3 and also updates for your games. So better keep the PS 3 stock. :)

Re: buying ps3.. any tips?

Okay so ps3 320 gb is the one.. No need the blue colour one lah.. I want bigger hard disk..

Is the bigger hard disk that important???

Re: buying ps3.. any tips?

i bought mine from here
FunzSquare

320GB cos the price difference between a 160 and 320 is not much, so just buy the bigger capacity version.

Titanium blue is GT5 version. (R3)

GT5 got a few versions, but by "versions" meaning regions. There are R1s, R3s and R4s on sale. US is R1, local region is R3 and Europe R4.
Mine is R1. But depends on you. If playing online, doesn't matter what region. Most ppl buy R1 is becos US gets downloadable content first. R3 usually have to wait a little longer. (To download R1 DLC, need to setup a US PSN account also but is very easy, like setting up a yahoo email acc. liddat)

There are hacked PS3s running on older firmware, but to play GT5 u need to update ur firmware, once u update, the hack becomes useless. So no point buying hacked PS3s.

Other good game ar... got Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, Guitar Hero, Rock band, Street Fighter...etc etc

Faster go buy GT5 den we can chiet you. Buy a steering wheel too, either the DFGT or G27 if u wanto spend more. Makes it alot more enjoyable.

It depends on what U intend ur PS 3, if U play alot and I mean really alot of games, then a bigger harddisk is advised. And if u like to download movies and MP3s to ur PS 3 so U can listen thru ur Home theatre sys or watch downloaded movies from ur PS 3 then yes 320GB is recommended. If not, 160gb is more than enough. But since the price difference is only slightly more, then go for the 320GB. I tink I say so much for dunno what cos conclusion is to get the 320gb hee hee.

To add on, the hard disk can be upgraded via DIY. Read it online before. :)

Other good PS3 games:
FIFA 11 or PES 2011
Modern Warfare 2
Heavy Rain
Red Dead Redemption
God of War 3

Re: buying ps3.. any tips?

SSD definitely faster than HDD...interface is exactly the same so no worries about modding. Only downside is the price, but they will last longer than your regular HDD

Gadaffi, check with you, can the PS 3 sys support higher capacity more than 500GB? Also is transferring the installed game and save files over to the new hard disk easy?

Do we need to install drivers or configure the PS 3 to recognise the new hardisk? Or simply plug and play? Thanks in advance :)

according to reasearch, PS3 can hold up 500GB n not more otherwise u need to use external.
Transfering i'm not to sure as it was done by the shop. Mine is still consider stock as i only upgrade the storage. As for the modded one, i would like to have it but give them awhile to stable it.
when i receive my PS3 after upgrade, i can just play as normal.

hope this help
