hello everybody,

i just got a call from my sales rep informing me that my car's finally been built and is now on its way to BMWAsia's port before reaching our shores

so "JUST" another 1.5 mths or so to go before D-Day H-Hour :)

tick tock tick tock tick....

Louis

p.s. Ryan, any idea how i can add a count down timer to my signature like what you have done for the countdown to feb meet-up thingy?

Firstly, i do not talk to 20 year olds who drive Z4s :|

Haha just kidding..congrats Louis! Bet you'll have another few more nights of new-car-coming-so-can't-sleep syndrome.

Anyway, i coded the thing in flash...and you can't attach flash signatures in the forum... Hmm. Nope..can't be done! :\

ryan,

gargh..... no worries abt the counter.

btw... i'm 23 this year, not 20. i'll be on a 10yr loan and the only reason why i can do this is because i have no girlfriend to spend on, sold my soul to the devil and signed a 5 yr bond with MOH with really shitty working hours... if its any consolation... :ehhh:

You LUCKY Ba##@@#!! 23 yrs old drive Z4......

Congratulations Louis!

Lau eh...louis congrats bro! Must be dam excited!! Soon soon...

The z4 dam  . Plus, i like how the top goes up n down so quick.

Wat's the loan amt dude? Less than 1.6%? Got lobang ah? Monthly will be how mucH?

Welbo,
i guess the unique feature will be the manual transmission, hence the need for a special indent and the painful, long wait. i wanted to make other changes as well like removing the wind deflector and getting rid of the power seats, but PML was unable to accomodate me.... oh well.

Nuke,
yes, its really exciting but damn distracting from studies as well... interest rate is 1.88% from UOB (offered last december), monthly is in the low $1XXX region. loan was done through PML... so only lobang i have is the one in my wallet.

Manual Z4..........nice :yummie:
Why do you want to remove the wind deflector? This will help your car in high speed stability when your roof is down. My cab wind deflector make a lot of difference when the top is down. For the cab with the wind deflector on, I loss 2 rear seats......... :(

Cheers!

Welbo,

i think its quite ugly... and i'm not sure if it'll help in high speed stability but i don't suppose 90km/h is high enough for me to notice any difference.

and why do u lose 2 seats with the deflector on? sorry, i'm not too familiar with saab cars...

louis,

The wind deflector is fitted across the rear seats for cabriolets. Anyway, the wind deflector for the Z4 is detachable. If you really hate it, then change the roll over hoops to the ACS chrome ones.

Yup. 90km/h is not fast enough to feel the difference. My manual recommend the owner to put on the wind deflector for top down driving with speed in excess of 160km/h..................in our local context, license gone liao..........

Cheers!

no lah, i don't hate it, but i would rather spend the money on the clear ones on roadstersolution.com or some other mods, but all this is moot since PML said its not possible to remove that option.

i'm not too keen on the ACS chrome hoops either.

Just curious.. how old are you louis and how much are you paying for your insurance? I tried to enquire for the Z4 last time and most of the insurance companies either rejected or gave a ridiculous amount.

I know the painful wait of a specially indented manual car. ;)

precurser,

i'm 23, as stated above. if i recall, insurance for me was quoted at ard 4k. i balked at that figure and decided to register the car in my mum's name instead.

Louis,

You said are 23 and have already sold yourself to MOH...u are a houseman? If so, welcome to a lifetime of pain, sweat, shitty policies, unsympathetic seniors and 70 hour workweeks!

I think things looking up lah. MOH Minister concerned abt attrition and looking into docs' welfare rite.... ent of OT

yky,

not yet, i served my country first so i'm a little behind. your description's very "encouraging"... thanks ah...

Woah dude! Solid. HOw much did u have to spring for downpayment man? which insurance company quoting ur mom? so now how much?
