Brand New 525 kicked into Neutral while driving??

Hi guys
Just got my new BMW 525. Caught in a jam and traffic came to a crawl. The gear suddenly kicked into Neutral?? It happened twice. How could a drive gear kicked into neutral? Did I do accidentally touch the cruise of whatever to make that happen. I have to kill the engine and start it up again.

Can someone advise?

I tink you should bring it back to PML and seek their help to resolve this since your car is still new and under warranty.

Also to sidetrack abit, were you the young guy with your wife at PML yesterday morning to collect ur new Black E60??? With the M Kit. You were exiting the service bay area and stopped at the Glass door at the main building to talk to ur sales guy just before the exit to the main road???

I read that the first batch of LCI E60s had problems when the driver changed gear from R to D - problem was, it didn't engage to D and remained in R. I believe they have sorted this problem with software upgrades but this is the first I've read that the gear actually jumps to N.

Haha you relli look young. BTW during that time when i saw you, I was walking back into PML to collect my veh from service. I was commenting to my wife, wah brand new car with retained number plates kekekekeke. So you are the one.

I tink you better complain to ur sales guy and they will get your gearbox issue rectified. Enjoy your new car!

I need help as I have the same like the first writer said. My 535i F10 after 5th years.. suddently it sel-swift to neutral and cann engage to D. Send workshop seem ok.. can drive and problem come on and off so what is the issue? Workshop think "MAYBE" electronic card? That cost $5,000 to $6,000 to repair??!!!
