Brake Squealing for E60/61/63/64

I don't know whether you guys have this problem of the brakes squealing but I do. Apparently, it is a thing that BMW recognises and has issued a service bulletin for dealers to recetify it. I always thought the the squealing was caused by the absence of abestos in the brake pads so I never bothered about it until I read the bulletin.

Am I the only one facing this problem?

greg, is ur brake pads thinning or ur disc is due for change?

i had this problem b4, it is due to my pads thinning n disc warped.

The problem existed since last year. I always thought it would just be the lack of abestos but since I saw the bulletin, PML has already changed the rear set for me. However, it is my front set that is giving the problem. Back to the workshop I guess....

Going to send the car in tomorrow cause the car's in another workshop now.... hahaha

Anyway, yes, Tennis, I still play, not as often as I would like too though....

squealing is caused by no lubricant behind the brake pads and/or the shim inbetween the pad and caliper. They will most likely just put some special brake grease on them.

I know, grease on the brakes, doesnt sound right, trust me, it's there.
