Yea...will change it. But am stunned by how worn out it is.

Well.....when it screeches really loud it's almost out of brake material.

In any case - Brakes don't play play.

bed means to cushion it in?

There's a process for bedding in. Basically trying to get the brake material over the disc by quick deceleration.

I'm also trying to find out whats bedding in. Quick deceleration = jam brakes?

Drive till 100km/h then jam brakes till about 30km/h. Repeat 10 times. Usually, there's a burning smell after that. And you would have a bit if brake fade.

So safety first........do not do this on the CTE in the afternoon.

I 2nd that...thks. don't know how what brand of pads to change to, & how much they cost...

The usual culprits - Textar, Hawk, EBC, Cool Carbon ............. some have less dust than others - easier to maintain the rims.

Thks red bean. After your intro, I read up on pads, rotors, fluids, etc. Now have a better understanding.
