Brake dust no more?

Re: Brake dust no more?

For totally dust-free scenario, try A'Gritz 400 pads. I am on it. Virtually no dust. However, bite is compromised. The brake feel is only about 75/80% of stock pads. Absolute no-no is braking is a priority vis-a-vis your driving pattern.

Else try Axxis. Some brothers like TripleM is running on it.

im using ferodo for my front. bite quite good after bedding in...brake dust wise, slightly less than stock.

Re: Brake dust no more?

Ah Beng
Axxis Ultimate has some dust still but not as much as stock
Try the Axxis Deluxe and u will like it better....J4C should carry the stock..
Wait a minute, u on E90 rite? U better check with them first.

Ok thx vm will check with J4C. The only apprehension I ve is reduced brake-power vs the stock pads as mentioned by kenntona, and also the good old "warranty void".

Re: Brake dust no more?

i suppose the harder pads = lower dust = lesser braking power.

Is there a slotted rotor upgrade that can pair well with low-dust pads to restore original "bite" ?

bros. is that true that aftermarket pads will void 'warranty'?

If u install aft market pads, anythime anything goes wrong with your rotors or related matters to braking, PML will blame on your aft market pads... so its as good as void warranty.

Albert, I still feel that stock brakes for 7 are the best.. bites well except for the brake dust.. Wash your rims often and problem solved. I wash them everyday, hardly see any stubborn brake dust that is diff to remove.

Re: Brake dust no more?

OLL bro. expected that from them.

my rim are washed too. dont tell me must wash brake calipre also? :)

i planning to get workshop to change to stock brakepads x4 since anyway, PML will charge for wear and tear for them too at 20000km inspection. right?

muahahaha.. if i ask my maid oso wash caliper every morning, she will add Rat Poison in my dinner...

Yap... nothing is free from PML... I just had my frt brake pads changed at Juzz4cars cos computer board prompt me liao... why dun u wait for computer to prompt you first than change? Not necessary must change at 20,000km, having said that, oso depends on driving behavior. I am a harmonious driver dun brake hard one.. hehe

Warranty is always an issue when it comes to changing parts other than OEM BMW.
So it's a risk one has to take.

With regard to your apprehension on braking power, u can trust Axxis Deluxe on that.
It's one of the most popular choices amongst Z4 and M3 forum guys in the US after discarding the stock pads and everyone has been happy with it. I hv been a loyal customer for couple of years. Both my cars on using axxis pads:)

u got try or not? maybe she hardworking hope extra $ for keeping blackie nice and shiny. rat poison? she should do ricin instead... (joking) apparent, brake lube from BVO lost it effect liao after a month. didnt expect the squeak and brake dust to come back so soon...

Re: Brake dust no more?

triplem, if J4C install original new stock brake pad, does PML will know the difference?

Re: Brake dust no more?

If PML can tell the diff, i chop off and feed my home arowana.

I have tested them out before.. they cant even tell when i changed my lowering springs to Hamann.. knn best part is the spring got Hamann name.

Re: Brake dust no more?

I called J4Cars re Axxis Deluxe. SeeToh is out and a techie told me this barke pad is cleaner but when the car is brough to a stop, there were be screeching sound just before they car comes to a full stop...eeek ! Is this true, anyone using Axxis Deluxe can confirm?
