Bowler Remy Ong is Singapore's flag bearer at Manila SEA Games

SINGAPORE : Bowler Remy Ong will have the honour of leading the Singapore contingent at the coming SEA Games in Manila.

Chef-de-Mission Oon Jin Teik handed the flag to Ong, Asian Games triple gold medallist, at a presentation ceremony at the Novena Square atrium on Wednesday.

Fencer Ruth Ng led the athletes in taking the pledge and the singing of the national anthem.

This was followed by "Milo Cheers on Team Singapore" well-wishing activities.

Singapore will be taking part in 33 of the 44 sports at the SEA Games.

Among them are five athletes from the Singapore Sports School.
