We were treated to a media preview today at the BMW World. Here's some of the highlights. Sadly, i didn't have my camera with me so these phone-cam pics will have to do
As expected, the star of the show really were the BMW i-cars. The revolutionary i3, and the gorgeous i8.
Showcasing the i3's carbon life-cell
For those interested, you can hop into the i3 for a slow ride around the show hall. Those really interested are welcome to place orders for the car at the event.
Nicely done info panel on the i8, but of course, nothing beats seeing the real thing.
My fav. design detail are those flying buttresses
You want to be here
Just stunning
CF infused fabric LV luggage set to go along with your i8?
Not extraordinarily lightweight but damn that weave is somehow very enticing
There were a few Concepts on display, here's the Vision Connected Drive.
Hard to tell in pictures but the Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe is really beautiful and full of lovely design details.
Looks really really good in real life. Wish they'd build it. But i'm guessing the design language will trickle down to regular cars in the near future.
They also showcased a range of cars fully optioned up with M-Performance parts.
Though it looks fab, the list price with all the options puts this 220i slightly just below the M235i, no prizes for guessing which we'd go for.
M-Power representing, with the latest M4 & M3.
MINI were also on hand to strut their stuff with the uber cool Clubman Concept and the almost production-ready-looking JCW Cooper.
We're pretty sure the production car will look like this.
MINI had a pretty cool interactive wall which allows you to "spray paint" a virtual mini with a wireless spray-gun. If you're the event, have a go.
There are also a number of bikes on display if that's your thing.
This sad looking thing was put in the back. Good idea.
And so, that brings an end to my short preview, BMW World will be happening tomorrow!!! To all those attending, have fun!!!
