Performance Motors Limited (PML) announces record sales of BMW vehicles in Singapore in 2010, with 4,178 automobiles sold over the twelve-month period. Breaking the 4,000 units mark is a first for PML and sets a new milestone in their retail history. It is a 22% increase over sales in 2009, making BMW the top luxury car brand in Singapore According to 2010 vehicle sales figures released by the Land Transport Authority in 2010.
2010 was an exciting year for Performance Motors, following the addition of the BMW 730Li to the BMW 7 Series range in late 2009. The new BMW X1was introduced, bringing performance motoring into the compact segment and the all-time favourite BMW X5’s facelifted version was also unveiled. In May, the new BMW 5 Series was launched, the epitome of aesthetic design and supreme driving pleasure in the upper midrange segment. The new BMW 5 series proved to be a highly sought after model with pre-booking orders of over 500 units even before the official launch.
“BMW vehicles this year emerged as the leader in the luxury segment in Singapore and it is only through our longstanding relationships with our partners, associates and our principal BMW Asia, as well as the support and loyalty of our customers, that this has been possible. Through many years of understanding our customers’ needs and preferences, we have found that they place immense value in the high level of service and attention we provide them, from the time they are considering purchasing a car to even years after having purchased it”, said Mr. Say Kwee Neng, Managing Director, Performance Motors Limited.
In recent years, PML has invested substantially in strengthening its service infrastructure to serve its customers better – from building the flagship BMW Sales and Aftersales facility at 303 Alexandra Road to refurbishing its Aftersales Service Centre at 280 Kampong Arang Road.
“That level of service has clearly paid off as the sales figures demonstrate, but we will not stop here. We endeavour to constantly surpass ourselves in terms of our service to our customers. In closing, I wish to thank all 360 PML team members for their dedication, perseverance and professionalism in achieving this outstanding result.” Mr Say added.
