BMW Performance Exhaust 335i Coupe

Has anyone installed the BMW performance exhaust with PML? Sounds really quiet when I did mine - like stock! Given the clips on Youtube of the same, I would think it's quite a bit louder and gruffier than stock. Am I missing something here? Are there different exhausts for the 335?

LCI is N55 facelifted.

E92 335i LCI is the most current facelift, chg exterior/interior, engine from N54 chg to N55, gearbox chg to 7sp DCT etc... I've heard from one of our bro here 335i pre LCI BMW Performance exhaust, sounds quite throaty and bubbly note... Not bad

E92 335i LCI is the most current facelift, chg exterior/interior, engine from N54 chg to N55, gearbox chg to 7sp DCT etc... I've heard from one of our bro here 335i pre LCI BMW Performance exhaust, sounds quite throaty and bubbly note... Not bad

Mine is N54 pre facelift. Bo-leh... sounds like stock. Bad!

Bro give me the part number I check for you. Scully from stock they take out wrong one n put another brand new stock ones on ur car... But so far dun think anyone will be so cock right?

I don't know the part number. Today damn cock, went to STA and they said cannot approve my exhaust because I don't have the exhaust cert! I told them that i have the LTA approval letter and PML workshop confirmation but they kept insisting for the Cooper Car Company cert. It's ridiculous! On the 2nd attempt this morning, I got the PML workshop guy to accompany me, still cannot.

Anyway, the tips are different from stock, should be the correct part.

The tip should be stainless steel slightly bigger than stock... How can it be not approved? Really damn cock... Bro where u stay near to? Why not we meet up for kopi? Pm me if u keen to meet up.

I heard the BMW performance exos on T6 and the sound is very throaty and deep. Did your system comes with muffler and mid pipes? If you dont have the latter changed then it will be like stock. How i know? I have ordered one set but PML claimed that my 330i only comes with muffler box no straight through mid pipe. The sound CMI which is a bummer. However my LTA approval was a non event and PML obtained everything on the same day.

I think the E92 does not come with the mid-pipe..only the E90 has mid-pipe..I remember T6 telling me that he has an extra 2.2m of steel and that is the reason why the E90 system is more expensive than the E92...

That explains it all...Without mid pipe the sound is almost stock...Hence E92 system and mine is the same...tail pipes looks gungho but sissy sound...What champwhite can do is to take out the centre resonator...This is a chjeap job and Man can do it.

For all we know the BMW muffler box could all be the same... It's only the centre section or diff in resonator that's producing the diff exhaust note...

For my LCI I like my stock muffler sound during cold start... My model sounds a bit louder compared to pre LCI & its like deep throaty note similar to eisenmann race... But after warm up liao sianz... No kick & soft... Gotta rev like 5-6k rpm than hear a bit of sound... Haiz... Wonder if I change mid section n crossed pipe helps...

Is this the BMW silencer system that the OP is referring to?

I was thinking of getting one installed on my 335I coupe, but after reading this thread, I basically scrapped the thought, what is the point of spending 1K plus and end up with not much difference.

I have seen some youtube videos on the BMW performance exhaust system, they all sound like the one on the 335IS, makes me wonder why the difference when it comes to the local ones.
